Mylah’s Tyrmini powers seem to have a mind of their own. As she grapples with control of the fire and Tyrinth elements embedded in her soul, the elemental dragon of fire awakens deep within the mines of the Aestyrah desert and claims Mylah as her companion.

 

Building a tentative bond with the creature and practicing with her power leads to a catastrophe that invites the gaze of the High King. Mylah is faced with the impossible decision of joining the High King’s retinue of Tyrmini hunters or forfeiting the lives of her entire community.
